Part Time Jobs Up

Statistics NZ’s quarterly employment survey shows total filled jobs rose 0.3% to a seasonally adjusted 1.715m, pipping the 0.2% growth expected by economists. There was a boost in part-time work, with a 0.1% decline in full-time equivalents to 1.35m.
Manufacturing FTEs shrank 4% to an actual 165,600. Manufacturing typically experiences a fall in FTEs in the September quarter.
