The Reader’s Digest Trust survey has found NZers have lost faith in big Aust owned banks, and think Cadbury and Tip-Top are the best brands. Sony, Toyota, Panadol, Sanitarium, Fisher & Paykel, Colgate, Panasonic and Heinz Watties round out the top 10. The banks have taken a hammering as a result of the global financial crisis and this is reflected in the survey. ASB dropped 33 places to 80th, ANZ is down 31 places to 124th, BNZ fell 26 places to 113th, the National Bank dropped 23 places to 96th and Westpac is down five places to 101st. By contrast, state-owned Kiwibank is 30th.
